A new intake of specialist training courses in strategic planning has opened for representatives of more than 50 ministries, agencies, and local executive authorities of the republic.
At the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a unified strategic planning system has been introduced, encompassing the full cycle from the development through to the monitoring and evaluation of the outcomes of state decisions. In this regard, Decree No. UP-201 and Resolution No. PP-394 have been adopted, enshrining new approaches to governance, the use of measurable performance indicators, digital monitoring via a unified platform, and an enhanced role for analytics in decision-making. Particular emphasis has been placed on training specialists capable of ensuring the high-quality elaboration of strategies and the achievement of concrete results.
As part of the implementation of the approved schedule for 2026, a formal opening ceremony was held for a new intake of specialist training courses. The event was attended by representatives of more than 50 ministries, agencies, and local executive authorities.

The training programme covers six thematic areas: the fundamentals of strategic planning; strategic analysis and planning; the setting of goals, objectives, and performance indicators; strategic leadership and management; strategy monitoring; and the preparation of reports and the introduction of adjustments.
The training is structured on the principle of moving from theory to practice. Participants acquire the methodological foundations of strategic planning and develop skills in setting measurable objectives, building monitoring systems, and preparing management reports. Upon completion of the course, participants will sit a final assessment and attend a formal certificate award ceremony.
The systematic professional development of civil servants in this field is an integral part of implementing the “Uzbekistan — 2030” Strategy, and is intended to equip government bodies at all levels with specialists capable of effectively developing, implementing, and overseeing the execution of strategic documents.
