A new cycle of training under the Uzbekistan Government Quality Award programme has officially commenced at the Academy of Public Policy and Governance.
The programme is being implemented jointly with the United Arab Emirates within the framework of a bilateral agreement. The first and second phases were conducted in 2023–2024.
The current phase focuses on introducing senior officials of ministries and government agencies to effective management tools and advanced governance practices.
The programme aims to enhance the efficiency of public administration through the evaluation of executive authorities, including ministries, committees, agencies, and inspectorates. The key evaluation criteria include:
• quality of strategic management;
• effectiveness of public service delivery;
• human capital development.
This year, more than 100 leaders and staff members from 41 ministries and agencies are studying advanced international practices. Upon completion of the training, participants will be nominated for the Award.
For reference: The Government Quality Award in the United Arab Emirates was established in 2009. It recognizes leading government institutions and promotes best practices, transparency, accountability, and innovative solutions focused on citizens.
