In the context of the consistent implementation of reforms aimed at ensuring sustainable and balanced regional development, particular importance is attached to establishing a unified spatial planning system that enables the effective utilisation of territorial potential and ensures harmonious development.<\/p>\n
In this regard, a meeting was held at the Agency for Strategic Development and Reform with a World Bank mission organised within the framework of technical assistance for the preparation of the National Spatial Vision and Policies (NSVP).<\/p>\n
During the discussions, the parties addressed key aspects of the NSVP development, including its methodology, scope and expected outcomes, as well as the identification of priority public policy areas aimed at promoting balanced regional development, sustainable urbanisation and enhanced economic competitiveness.<\/p>\n
Special attention was given to issues of inter-agency coordination, the development of institutional mechanisms, and the formulation of a roadmap for the implementation of the strategy. The parties also reviewed the analysis of existing statistical and analytical data necessary to support evidence-based decision-making and to improve the effectiveness of territorial planning.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, representatives of the World Bank were briefed on ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan in the field of strategic planning, including the introduction of an integrated system for development management and digital tools for monitoring and coordination.<\/p>\n
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening cooperation and expressed their readiness to continue joint efforts towards establishing a modern spatial development system aimed at ensuring sustainable, inclusive and long-term regional growth in the Republic of Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
