A meeting was held at the Agency for Strategic Reforms (ASR) with representatives of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) mission to discuss cooperation on financial sector reforms.<\/p>\n
The meeting was attended by Abdulla Abdukadirov<\/strong>, First Deputy Director of the Agency for Strategic Reforms, Benita Ainabe<\/strong>, ADB Lead Financial Sector Specialist, Adham Kuchkarov<\/strong>, ADB Principal Private Sector Development Officer at the Uzbekistan Resident Mission, Malik A. Nadim<\/strong>, ADB Senior Financial Sector Specialist, as well as other representatives of the Agency.<\/p>\n The main objective of the mission\u2019s visit was to conduct an initial assessment of priority and planned reforms<\/strong>, identify key barriers and stakeholder needs<\/strong>, discuss recently adopted regulatory acts<\/strong>, and determine areas of technical assistance<\/strong> for inclusion in the new program.<\/p>\n During the discussions, reforms in areas such as bond market development<\/strong>, privatization<\/strong>, and public-private partnerships (PPP)<\/strong>, as well as the implementation of the “Uzbekistan \u2013 2030” Strategy<\/strong>, were reviewed. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of monitoring and ensuring the effective implementation of reforms<\/strong>.<\/p>\n ADB representatives expressed readiness<\/strong> to provide financing for reforms in the banking sector and capital market<\/strong> under the new program, opening up new opportunities for institutional transformation<\/strong> and attracting investments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Abdulla Abdukadirov emphasized the importance of a comprehensive approach<\/strong> to reforms and proposed organizing a working meeting with the ADB mission\u2019s technical team in Uzbekistan, as well as initiating the exchange of analytical materials<\/strong> and the launch of joint research projects<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing constructive dialogue<\/strong> and close cooperation<\/strong> in developing the financial sector based on the principles of sustainability and openness<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" A meeting was held at the Agency for Strategic Reforms (ASR) with representatives of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) mission to discuss cooperation on financial sector reforms.
